Take a walk through Square Joffre where you will find the Monument aux Marins Disparus that remembers all the sailors who have sadly passed or were lost at sea.

Fort Lorraine

There was once a fort standing here that was a point of view over Saint Pierre. You can still see some of the remnants of the forte. Take a moment to pause at this lookout and take in the views.

Zazpi Wall
SAINT PIERRE
Rebuilt in concrete after burning down in 1906, the Zazpi wall is part of the Basque heritage. The Basque are one of the groups of people who settled in Saint Pierre bringing their traditions with them. A game called Pala is played using the wall.

Looking to take a day trip to explore even more? Just a 10 minute boat ride off of Saint Pierre you can see the beautiful island of Ile aux Marins. Once inhabited all year round until the 70’s now currently used for summer homes. This island has a lot land to explore and buildings to look around in from its history. Take a little break at the cafe to enjoy a beverage and snacks.

OUR LADY OF ARDILLIERS CHURCH
MIQUELON
Beautiful Catholic Church recently renovated on the outside, but it is full of beautiful history to look at on the inside. It was built between 1862-1865 to replace the first church in Miquelon.

MAISON DE LA NATURE ET DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT

WHITE CAP LIGHTHOUSE

The Cap Blanc Lighthouse was built in 1883 and known to be one of the oldest surviving Lighthouses along with the Pointe Plate Lighthouse that is in Langlade (the Pointe Plate lighthouse is about a 2 hour hike to access in Langlade). It was named a historic site in 2012.

LANGLADE
Dig your feet into the sandy beaches lining the ocean during your travels. You will be surrounded by large sand dunes as you walk along the beach. This sandy isthmus connects Miquelon to Langlade. Ocean views, and views of summer homes. A must “sea” on your time here.
